Steve is a Clinical Research Fellow in the Yorkshire Deanery. He previously sat on the steering committees of STARSurg and EuroSurg groups, contributing to the leadership of several international collaborative projects. He currently sits on the Editorial Advisory Board of Colorectal Disease.

Jack is an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow in General Surgery at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. Jack studied Medicine at the University of Leeds, where he was selected for an EXSEL@Leeds research scholarship and undertook further research training at Yale University, USA. He has since completed academic foundation training before commencing surgical training in the Yorkshire and Humber deanery
Jonathan Spackman

Jonathan is a trainee ACP for Surgery working at Chesterfield Royal Hospital on the Surgical Assessment Unit. Following an Advanced Diploma in Nursing Studies at Sheffield University Jonathan has always worked in Surgery and as a Clinical Nurse Specialists developed the first Surgical Ambulatory Unit at Chesterfield. Now he is undertaking his Masters at Derby University to further develop his Advanced Practice.

I have been a registered nurse in adult intensive care for 20 years at various hospitals through the West Yorkshire Critical Care Network. I have been an Advanced Critical Care Practitioner 9 years prior to becoming the Lead Advanced Clinical Practitioner for Abdominal Medicine and Surgery at the beginning of 2022. I have recently completed the NIHR Associate Primary Investigator scheme for the REMAP-CAP trial.

Khemerin is a Core Surgical Trainee in his first year based in the Yorkshire Deanery. He stayed in the same region as his foundation school and is on an orthopaedic track. He was Vice-President of AMSA Malaysia during medical school and gained leadership experience at a national level there. White Rose is his first major research collaborative group.
